About Yashovardhan

Product designer in Mumbai, India, leading design for early-stage teams from a rough idea to a product people trust.

What I do

I’ve spent five-plus years leading design on early-stage products, often as the first designer on the team. I own the whole arc, from research and product strategy to interaction design, design systems and brand, and I work side by side with founders and engineers until it ships.

The work spans AI, fintech, edtech, B2B SaaS, EV charging and architecture, for teams like TrainLoop (YC W25), Buildofy, MoneyFactory, Terribly Tiny Tales and Rekonsile. The work is here.

Who I am

Yashovardhan

I run a small studio, Procrayon, and I’m now looking for a full-time role where I can own product design and help shape how a design team works.

Away from the screen, I’m usually reading about cars or out in the garden.

How I work

  • Evidence before opinions. Research and quick tests come before polish, so design reviews are about evidence rather than taste.
  • Problem before pixels. Most of the leverage is in framing the problem. Once that’s right, the solution gets simpler and cheaper to build.
  • Clarity over cleverness. In money, AI and operations tools, the interface’s job is to remove doubt. I cut until every screen earns its place.
  • Ownership from day one. As TrainLoop’s first designer I owned the brand, design system, product and website end to end.
