Context

Most new users quit before the dashboard

Sigfyn is an investment app, and its long onboarding lost people partway. Testing showed why: no progress indicator, glitchy OTP verification and unclear copy. Many steps were there for compliance, so cutting them wasn't an option. In 2024 I redesigned the flow with Sabhyasachi B. and Neelam B., aiming to double conversion.

01Onboarding

The new flow

A restructured journey that keeps every compliance step, opening with an overview of the three steps ahead.

Why: People were doing work without knowing why, how much was left, or what they'd get at the end.

Sigfyn: The restructured onboarding flow, compliance steps included.

02Accounts

Connecting accounts and seeing your money

Live feedback while accounts sync, then assets appear as categorised cards, one type at a time, with a manual fallback for anything missed.

Why: A silent sync screen looks broken, and showing people their own money early makes the effort pay off on screen.
